Benedictine Sister Christine Manderfeld publishes collection of sung prayers

GIA Publications (GIA) recently released "Sing of God’s Goodness: Calls to Worship and Responsories," a collection of sung prayers by Sister Christine Manderfeld. The collection contains 12 calls to worship and six responsories spanning the liturgical seasons of Lent, Easter, Advent, Christmas, and Ordinary Time. Most of these pieces are sung by the Benedictine sisters during Sunday Morning Prayer, but S. Christine also wrote three new calls to worship and three new responsories.

Sister Karen Rose will be installed as the 18th prioress of Saint Benedict’s Monastery, St. Joseph, Minn., on Sunday, June 4, 2023, during a private Rite of Installation ceremony in Sacred Heart Chapel. The public is invited to attend a Eucharist celebrating the installation at 1:30 p.m. on June 4, followed by a reception from 3–5 p.m. in the Gathering Place. Eucharist will be livestreamed.

The North American Vocation Team (NAVT) of the School Sisters of Notre Dame (SSND) invites young women ages 18-45 to a summer service week June 11-17, 2023. The week will include volunteer opportunities through Whole Kids Outreach (WKO), a nonprofit service organization located in Ellington, Missouri. New ForMission Class Now Forming

May 31-June 8

The Religious Formation Conference will convene a new ForMission class this summer at the University of St. Mary of the Lake in Mundelein, Illinois. Participants will check in on May 31st and depart on June 8th.
The two-year program is intended for women and men:
• formation ministers currently accompanying new members at any stage of initial formation;
• preparing to become a formation minister;
• in elected and informal leadership who actively support and oversee the effectiveness and quality of the congregation/province initial formation program.

From Thursday, February 23rd to Sunday, February 26th, the Sisters of Saint Dominic of Blauvelt, New York, participated in their Chapter of Life and Mission.

Sisters, Associates, and guests gathered at Saint Dominic Convent in Blauvelt to partake in this significant milestone.

This particular Chapter of Life and Mission was significant to the congregation as its theme focused on “Passion for the Possible.”

Pittsburgh Sisters take steps to improve sustainable landscaping efforts
